Israel Intensifies Airstrikes in Lebanon and Gaza

Israel has intensified airstrikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs, specifically targeting Hezbollah’s financial infrastructure. The Israeli defense minister, during a visit to troops near the northern border, vowed to dismantle the Iran-backed militant group.

In Gaza, an Israeli strike on northern regions late Saturday left at least 87 dead and over 40 injured, with children among the victims, according to Gaza's health ministry. The UN has raised alarms, warning that the crisis in Gaza is worsening as Israel escalates its offensive, aiming to stop Hamas from regrouping in the north.

Meanwhile, the US is investigating a leak of highly classified intelligence regarding Israel's planned response to an Iranian missile attack earlier this month. Iran has denied involvement in the launch of a drone targeting Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s residence in central Israel on Saturday.
