Trump Safe After Shooting Reported at His Golf Course

 

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reported a shooting on the grounds of Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach on Sunday, while former President Donald J. Trump was at the club. Authorities confirmed that Mr. Trump is safe, though the motive behind the incident remains unclear.

Steven Cheung, communications director for Trump's campaign, stated, "President Trump is safe following gunshots in his vicinity. No further details are available at this time."

Teri Barbera, a spokesperson for the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, confirmed that a shooting occurred at the golf course while Trump was present. A "person of interest" has been detained, but no information on the shooter's intent is currently available. A press conference is expected later this afternoon.
